Mark your Calendars and come and join us at Tech City Bowl in Kirkland on June 15th at 11am for our first annual bowling tourney with net proceeds to be donated to Baby Steps Ministry (a local homeless outreach,www.babystepsministry.org).

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

We are hoping to create a venue for local young adults to come together and meet other folks in their local community by participating in an activity that is universally fun for everyone while raising money for a local homeless ministry.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE TOURNEY? CAN ANYONE PLAY?

The format will be divided into 2 parts, first the singles/individual play. The first game will be every man/woman for his/her self.

We will awarded prizes based on:

  • Highest score
  • Most gutter balls
  • Most entertaining form
  • Prettiest bowling form

  • Most strikes
  • Most spares
  • and greatest cheerleader

Then after the first round of individual games and awards we will create teams based on player averages. This will not only be a great social time to get to know other folks in your community but will even out the playing field for a great time of team competition.

Prizes given out will be based on Highest Team Average over 2 games.

Ken Kyung Sunoo, Pastor of Wallingford Presbyterian Church since 1998, spent his undergraduate years in the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, received his Masters of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1992 and his Masters of Theology degree, with a concentration in Theological Ethics, in 1994, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2012.

Ken previously served at churches in Matawan, Phoenix, Maryland, Seattle and Seoul, Korea. He has also served for 10 years as the Communications Assistant for the Seattle Presbytery. Ken's passion in ministry include preaching and building relationships. His favorite Christian authors include C.S. Lewis and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Ken is married to The Rev. Dr. Deborah Hannay Sunoo, Pastor of Magnolia Presbyterian Church in Seattle. They have two daughters.

Ken's salary will be funded by the generous donation given to us through the Vanguard Charitable Trust. We feel very blessed to have Ken join our team and look forward to see God's plan as it continues to unfold.
